The Year of '07 Sees Increase in Motorcycle-Related Accidents

The Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned has seen an increase in the number of motorcycle incidents from this year to last. So far this year, 18 Marines have died in motorcycle related accidents. Confirmed statistics state fatality rates from motorcycle accidents increased in the 30 – 34 age bracket this past year, when it previously was predominant in the 20 – 24 and 25 – 29 age range. “The primary contributing factors remain the same; excessive speed, fatigue, improper use of equipment and failure to use proper personal protective equipment,” wrote Col.
