Wrongful Death Suit Filed Against Pawn Shop

The family of a man killed after a 1999 shooting at a Jewish Community Center is filing a wrongful death suit against the pawn shop were the shooter purchased his gun (02NOV06). The suit filed by Joseph Ileto's family against Loaner Too pawn shop in Everett, north of Seattle, Washington, accuses it of not making Buford O. Furrow Jr. fill out a mandatory federal registration form. According to the suit, Furrow could not have bought the gun legally as he was a convicted felon who had spent time in a mental institution. Three children, a receptionist and a teenage camp counselor were injured at the shooting in the Jewish Community Center in California. Furrow then drove through a neighborhood where he saw Joseph Ileto and shot him too. Furrow is serving a life sentence.
