Wrongful Death Against Greyhound

A case against Greyhound for a wrongful death lawsuit has been settled. It involved crash victim Martha Contreras who died in the accident. The Santa Maria Greyhound bus crash happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 27, 2005. The 22-year-old Contreras, who was seven months pregnant, and her husband, Agustîn Contreras, were passengers on the northbound bus headed for San Francisco. Martha Contreras was killed when the bus ran off Highway 101 south of Betteravia Road, tipped onto its right side and slammed into a tree. The fetus also died, as did 50-year-old Faro Jahani of San Francisco.
