Wendy's Restaurant Sued for Negligence

A federal judge has granted an extension to complete discovery in a personal injury suit by a former Wendy’s Restaurant employee who says she was robbed at work. Janet Brandon, a former assistant manager of Wendy’s, was required to make a morning “drop” deposit. The deposit bag was placed inside a Wendy’s sack in order to disguise it. Brandon was to drive up to the drive-thru window where a co-worker would hand the sack containing the money to her. However, Brandon did not make it to her car for she was struck twice in the head from behind and was knocked unconscious. The lawsuit faults Wendy’s International for negligence, gross negligence and liable under respondent superior. Brandon is seeking damages for medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish, and disfigurement, physical and emotional impairment
