Vicious Dog Attack

Police in Inver Grove Heights said they have found the pit bull mix and his owner who attacked a 70-year-old woman and her pet miniature schnauzer. On Thursday, a misdemeanor summons was issued for the dog's owner, Jacquelyn Kay English, 51. She was charged with maintaining an unlicensed dog, having a dog at large and harm caused by a dog. "I'm doing OK," said Margaret Johnston, who in 2000 retired after 30 years as an emergency room nurse at Regions Hospital. "They can't stitch dog bites so it's going to take a long time to heal. It's deep, and it's in the muscle." Unfortunately Johnston’s dog didn’t survive the attack.
