Traumatic Auto Accident

As Regina Brinkman, 49, was traveling to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia she suffered face, chest and brain injuries when a huge truck tire came flying through her windshield on the N.J. Turnpike. Police Sgt. Stephen Jones stated that two 250-to-300-pound tires came off a truck -- "an 18-wheeler became a 16-wheeler" -- and bounded into the oncoming lane. One tire into the northbound berm, while the other crushing the front, side and windshield of Mrs. Brinkman’s red 2005 Honda Accord. Jones said she suffered facial lacerations, chest pain and slight brain injury and was in stable condition at Capital Health Systems at Fuld hospital in Trenton.
