Tankless Water Heater - Defective Product

On Christmas Day 2006, Matt Varble and his family were sitting in their living room when the CO detector/alarm suddenly went off in their brand new home. Matt immediately opened all the windows. He then spent more than $1,000 to purchase and install a house air exchanger system to ventilate the air in the entire house since he didn’t know the source of the CO2 emissions. It now appears that his brand new tankless water heater was a defective product. The Varbles were pretty upset after needlessly spending additional money on their tankless water heater in addition to the extra $1,000 to clean up. Tankless water heaters are expensive because they only heat water as it is needed and are supposed to be energy-efficient. The Varble’s attorney has contacted the manufacturer and is looking into this matter.
