Separate car accidents claim 2 lives

In two unrelated car accidents Saturday night, two women died after being ejected from the passenger seats. The first accident occurred in Rockbridge County when a tractor-trailer, driven by Andre Bull hit a 1998 Toyota Camry after he tried to switch lanes. After turning the car around the impact caused the vehicle to hit a guardrail and Carolyn Compton, 72, was ejected from her seat and was pronounced dead at the scene. Edward Compton, the driver was flown to a medical center with unknown conditions. Bull tried to flee the scene but was stopped a few miles later and was charged with felony hit and run and is being held without bond. In the second accident, passenger Yamilet Agosto, 31 was ejected from her seat after the Jeep Liberty she was in ran off the road and into the median.
