No Leads In Hit-and-Run

A five-year-old girl who was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident in September (03SEP06) is recovering from the incident, although no progress has been made in catching the driver of the car. Kentazia Carter was crossing the street with a group of friends in Troy, Alabama when an SUV ran her over before driving away, leaving the child with injuries including a broken leg, broken pelvis, ruptured kidney and several broken bones in her back. According to her great uncle Reginald Canty, Carter is recovering extremely well. He says, “She's back home and doing good ... she's a tough little girl.”
