No Helmet is Costly in Motorcycle Accident

Bike Week 2007 in Florida is supposed to be a good time, but for John and Laura Ann Taylor the event turned tragic. The Taylors had been riding home from Daytona Beach when the tire tread on the rear wheel of their motorcycle separated. According to FHP, their motorcycle wobbled, and then veered into the median and flipped. John tried to take the bike down on the grassy median, but at the speed that they were traveling impact proved deadly. Like many of the estimated 500,000 visitors at Bike Week, the Taylors weren’t wearing helmets. Although once over the age of 21, it is not a law in the state of Florida to wear a helmet, research shows it is a very wise choice indeed.Â
