Motorist Earns Himself a Murder Charge

Last week, you may have heard of the case of a motorist who was driving last week while intoxicated. Now, unfortunately, that may describe quite a few motorists, so let me narrow it down. This particular motorist was driving Flint when he killed an off-duty police officer. He has now been charged with second-degree murder in addition to driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license. According to witnesses, the drunk driver, Ramon Felix Pineda, 25, was driving at approximately 8:00 p.m. when he rear-ended the motorcycle of the off-duty officer Vincent Owen D'Anna who was only 26 years old. To add insult to fatal injury Pineda attempted to run but fortunately he was detained by witnesses. It seems that Mr. Pineda is in the U.S. from Mexico illegally. He has been living in the U.S. for the past 10 years. What a senseless loss this is.
