Motorcycle Crash Ruled an Accident

A pack of about 100 riders were participating in a ride from Harrison to the Lawrenceburg Speedway when 18-year-old, Bryant Withers, saw a stopped vehicle and locked his brakes, causing his car to skid across the centerline, sliding into the cyclists. Joseph Hurley, 43, and his passenger Lisa Rhoades, 40, both of Harrison, were killed, as was David Bartley, 40, of Greendale, Ind. Prosecutors said that Withers will not face criminal charges for the accident, for that̢۪s just what it was, an accident. Friends and family of two of the three motorcyclists killed feel Withers should face more than a fine and a suspended driver̢۪s license.
