Grand Jeep Cherokees Recalled after Seat Fires

111,000 2003-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees have been recalled by DaimlerChrysler AG after reports of overheating and fires in heated seats. According to a spokesperson, DaimlerChrysler has received 32 complaints of the electric heater element overheating or leading to a fire in the front seat, although the company does not have a precise number for how many injuries or crashes have been caused by the defect.
