Family Sues for Wrongful Death After Fire

The family of a caregiver killed when a group home caught fire in Missouri (27NOV05) are suing the home's owner and the group that owned it for negligence. 19-year-old Glen Taff's parents and wife filed the wrongful death lawsuit at McDonald County court against Robert Dupont and River of Life Ministries, accusing them of failing to install a sprinkler system and repair faulty electrical wiring in the home, which had fire alarms but no sprinklers. Ten people died in the fire and several more, including Taff's wife Amanda Taff, were injured.
