Dog Shot by Police after Attack

A large pit bull broke out of it’s home and mauled a man and then attacked its owner. Shortly after officers and firefighters arrived, the dog charged Patrolman Paul Strabavy as he attempted to calm the animal down, forcing the officer to Taser the dog. The Taser apparently had no effect on the animal, police said, and it began rushing the officer again. Strabavy pulled his gun and shot the dog three times, killing it, Sgt. Chuck Stokes said at the scene. “The owner couldn’t contain it, and the dog went nuts,” Stokes said.
